Every Lord's Day (Sunday) morning, we come together to have the Lord's table and to have a time of sharing from God's Word and from our own experiences and enjoyment of Christ. Our meeting starts at 10:00 AM and ends around 12:30 PM.
At the Lord's table, we remember the Lord by partaking of the bread and the cup just as He has instructed us to do. (1 Cor. 11:23-26) All God's children are welcome to participate. Here, the Lord is the only centre and focus. Everyone is free to sing, praise, and pray in a spontaneous way to render real worship to the Lord in spirit and truthfulness. (John 4:4)
Following the Lord's table, we have a time of ministry from God's Word where one or two brothers share a message to minister life and truth to the congregation in order that they may be built up, encouraged, and consoled. (1 Cor. 14:3) Sometimes, these messages are gospel-oriented so that those among us who have not yet received Christ can have a chance to hear the gospel and respond to the Lord's calling. There is usually some time for testimonies after the message for anyone to speak something for the Lord “so that all may learn and all may be encouraged.” (1 Cor. 14:31)
At the same time we have the adults meeting, children from kindergarten to grade 6 have their own meeting. They enjoy singing together and having a lesson time and a craft time in groups. The lesson materials are based on characters, stories, and topics from the Bible designed to give them some basic spiritual education at their level to prepare them for salvation at a later age. They are also designed to help them build up the proper human character so that they can grow up as proper human vessels for God.
The teenagers among us also have their own meeting on the Lord's Day under the guidance of some adult serving ones. For more information about meetings for youths, please see the Youth Meetings page.
After the meeting, we have a buffet-style lunch together at the meeting hall where we can mingle and fellowship with each other while feasting on many delicious home-cooked dishes. This is a very enjoyable time as we can simply relax and enjoy a good meal together. There is something about food that helps to bring people closer, and this is true even in our practical church life.
